HOTEL INFORMATION:

Please make your reservations AS SOON AS POSSIBLE arriving no later than Wednesday afternoon, Jul 15, and departing anytime on Wednesday, Jul 22.

All rooms (see: http://www.sienasuiteshotel.com/) are full size suites with full kitchens, stove, full size fridge, microwave, pots, pans, dishes and more. Rooms are either four-years old or one-year old. There are fourteen 3-story buildings and two full size swimming pools. It is a non-gaming hotel (no Casino) and has a 24 hour restaurant nearby as well as Jack in the Box, Taco Bell and Subway. There is a very large RV hook-up park across the street called the Covered Wagon.

The rate we have is a weekly rate and you will pay more if you stay for a shorter time.

You have several options based on the weekly rate:
Single Suite
Weekly Rate: $282.31 (Nightly Rate: $40.33)
One king size bed and a couch in the living room for one couple (or a third person on the couch).

Two bedroom - 2 bath suite
Weekly Rate: $388.04 (Nightly Rate: $55.44)
One king bed in one room and two double beds in the other room. (could easily sleep up to 7 people)

If you are traveling in a motor home/travel trailer you can stay at the hotel (if you secure a room) or elect to park at the Covered Wagon RV Park, phone: 702-454-7090, with full hook-ups right across the street.

The nightly rates for Siena Suites are approximately $65 and $87 so you will be better off reserving for a week if you are going to stay more than 4 nights. Reservations must be made by June 15. With the current group rate you can see that these rooms will go very quickly and it's likely that those without a reservation may have to pay much more for much less at some other non suite hotel/casino. Please understand that, although it will be hot, the tourist season in Vegas is the summertime.

We can't encourage you strongly enough to secure these rooms early on with your credit card. Contact the Siena Suites at 702-648-2100 and ask for Tracy regarding the OSA block for Wednesday, Jul 15, checking out Wednesday, Jul 22.

This may sound crazy to you! It sounded crazy to me when Chet Gallagher cornered me at an abortion mill in Atlanta , Georgia , on the last day of our National Event last year. "Flip," he said, "I just want you to think and pray about these two letters for our National Event next year - L and V." I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about and told him so. He said, "Las Vegas! Would you consider coming to Las Vegas for OSA's National Event next year in 2009?"
That thought had never crossed my mind. Why Vegas? Chet's response, "Because Las Vegas needs Jesus in its streets." I was to find out later, through the hard labors and research efforts of one Shelley Clegg, that the city of Las Vegas has ten abortion mills. I was shocked! Atlanta has ten abortion mills and its population is ten times that of Las Vegas . I realized that in the "plastic and pretend world" of Las Vegas , sin and its horrific consequences are always being covered up. I recalled that slick cliché, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."

This lie cries out to the heavens. The blood of innocent children is shed as sin abounds. There are no clocks in the Vegas casinos nor are there any windows so that one loses all concept of time - all concept of reality. Why? Because the devil is seeking to rob, kill, and destroy. The Bible tells us that our sin will find us out, no matter how hard men try to cover it. We have a Word from God, "What happens in Vegas gets exposed in Vegas."

As most of you know, Chet was a former Las Vegas Motorcycle Police Officer. It was twenty years ago that he, while in uniform and on duty was arrested and jailed for refusing to abandon 92 rescuers because he was compelled to stand alongside and support them. These peaceful, pro-life Christians were sitting prayerfully and blocking access to a local Las Vegas abortion mill. When ordered to leave Chet told his supervisors that, "As an on duty police officer I simply cannot walk away from what I know to be a murder in progress.” He had been a career police officer for 20 years and was just three months from being “vested” (tenured) for his police retirement after serving nearly 10 years on the force. Consequently, he was subsequently fired for trying to dissuade his fellow officers from arresting the Christians that Jesus had sent on that day to "protect and serve" the innocent victims of abortion. Chet has traveled across our nation several times, being a voice for the voiceless children. Now he is asking for our help to bring the theology of the church house out onto the streets of Las Vegas. This event will serve as a prototype for other cities to engage in the Gospel battle.

Prior to the National Event this summer there will be pro-life rallies, displays, training for activists and sidewalk counselors; plans for initiating abortion malpractice suits; and most importantly, OSA will recruit an army of praying, pro-life Christians outside of every local child killing center, offering emergency help to endangered mothers and their children being led to slaughter.

Additionally, our OSA chapter will set in motion the plans for Nevada 's Constitutional "Personhood Amendment" ballot initiative. This proposed initiative is key to protecting every innocent, unborn Nevadan from the federal tyranny of President Obama's administration and his promise to abolish every piece of pro-life legislation when he signs the Freedom of Choice Act, (FOCA). www.PERSONHOODUSA.com

After a successful leadership meeting in New Orleans last weekend things are moving ahead rapidly for OSA's annual event and there are some things we want you to be aware of early on.

EVENT INFORMATION:
Yes it is Wednesday to Wednesday this year. The reason is - the folks traveling by air who make early-bird flight reservations can save up to $150 per ticket per person by arriving Wed. instead of Saturday or Sunday. Again, you'll save a bundle if you act quickly. Please consider your local newspaper classified ads or Travel Section for DISCOUNTED TICKETS to Las Vegas . Specials for large markets like Vegas are sometimes better in the newspaper than online! Those deals are out there, just confirm they are legitimate and accepted by the airlines. If you get a good lead on discount tickets please "reply to all" on this e-mail with the details and we'll post it on the website for others.
If you do fly, consider using the money you'll save on an early bird airfare reservation to rent a car. We will provide airport pick-up, of course, but your rental car can help us with transportation throughout the city. Plus, I guarantee you that there is so much to see in Southern Nevada/Utah/California you may want to have your own transportation to do so.

A missionary sponsorship letter is being drafted to be signed by Flip and provided to you to send to friends, family, pastors and pro-life business people, etc. This allows them the opportunity to contribute funds toward this short term mission trip to save moms and babies and to evangelize in Sin City . For those of you who can afford this, please consider the possibility of sending this letter to your contacts to help fund some of our larger families. If you simply cannot come (and we hope you'll make every effort to do so) you can always sponsor someone else and watch God bless your generosity. Write a check today to OSA and note in the memo "Missions support." If there is a special pro-lifer or family you want to help, enclose a letter stating who they are.

Consider NOT coming alone. Bring another couple or family with you. Make it the summer vacation trip of a lifetime.
